DESCRIPTION:What is Conscious Connected Breathwork? \nConscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is an experiential field of study and practice that uses a specialized breathing technique\, body mapping (using pressure points to release stored tension and emotions)\, and affirmations. These three elements work together to support all levels of being: physical\, emotional\, mental\, and spiritual. It is a safe\, powerful\, and gentle breathing practice that releases stress from the body. \nThis type of breathwork can be found under other names such as transformational breath\, holotropic breath\, and rebirthing. \nEach technique has unique features; however\, there are 3 main components that connect them all: \n\nConscious connected breathing: the breath is continuous without pauses between the inhale and the exhale.\nDiaphragmatic breathing: active inhale (into the belly with relaxed expansion of the chest) and a relaxed exhale (breathing out is a passive movement).\nBreathing channel: breathe in and out through the same channel (the mouth)\n\nBreathwork oxygenates the blood and increases feelings of alertness in the body. It decreases remuneration\, brain fog\, and energy blockages. The nature of the breath allows and encourages us to be completely present throughout the experience. This is an evening for releasing what’s been weighing on your connection and remembering how to choose closeness again. \nJoin James and Trista Davis for a heart-centred night of breathwork\, thoughtful discussion\, and simple connection exercises designed to deepen intimacy. Together\, you’ll explore common relationship challenges with compassion\, then move into a guided breathwork journey that supports emotional release\, clarity\, and reconnection. \nWhat’s included: \n\nBrief discussion and reflection on relationship patterns\nA 60-minute guided Conscious Connected Breathwork journey\nGrounding integration practices to help you land what you experienced\n\nNo prior breathwork experience is needed. Clear instructions\, options\, and support are provided throughout. During the breathwork journey you’ll be lying down\, and we provide mats and props for comfort. Registration covers both partners\, so you only need to sign up once. \nImportant safety notes\nConscious Connected Breathwork can create strong physical and emotional shifts and may not be appropriate for everyone. \nPlease consult your physician before participating if you are pregnant\, have cardiovascular concerns (including high blood pressure or a history of heart attack or stroke)\, epilepsy or seizure disorders\, glaucoma or retinal issues\, severe asthma or other significant respiratory conditions\, recent surgery or injury\, or any medical condition that could be aggravated by intensified breathing.
